Jakarta Fashion Week 2013 - Day 10: Ikat Indonesia by Didiet Maulana

Ikat Indonesia was the last show at Jakarta Fashion Week 2013. And yeah I need to bold that because I am happy that I have posted all of the JFW's posts, click on "JFW 2013" on the label below to see all of the shows that I have covered.    Anyways! The last show was opened by an Indonesian singer, Andien who sang beautifully! And afterwards, all of the models walked their very last runway show at JFW 2013 to show up the stunning dresses, outerwears, sweatshirts, and pants in Ikat pattern. I personally love the modernity that was shown on the collection, it shows that Indonesia is not always about traditional clothes, there are so much more of that! More over the designer used some metallic fabrics, which born out the hip and contemporary feel! Much love to the spectacular collection.    IKAT INDONESIA by Didiet Maulana

Jakarta Fashion Week 2013 - Day 10: Yayasan Jantung Indonesia - Sebastian's

PORTRAIT OF A MUSE by Sebastian's of Sebastian Gunawan I am so in love with the collection of Sebastian Gunawan for Yayasan Jantung Indonesia! The first sequence showed up his muses (celebrities, socialites, etc) - they used the dresses from the previous collection, and in the second sequence, all of the models showed up the newest collection. I love how he only applied dark and soft shades on those beautiful dresses because I believe that the clients of his work should look classy and simple, without being too much. I love how all of the dresses were embroidered with crystals and silver linings, which are so pretty. And I love the platforms which go with anything, the straps make it perfect!
