Since I Met You

Everything has been great lately, but I do not want to be overwhelmed and overexcited because it is so often when something good comes up, something bad follows up, and until now, I haven’t figured out why. But I promised myself to concentrate on the present rather on the future, because if you keep on thinking about what your future will be, you will never really feel alive.

Once The Dalai Lama was asked about what surprised him most about humanity, and he answered: “Man. Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, then dies having never really lived.”
