A Frozen Flower

DSC_6335
Sometimes humans are out of control and they speak what they don't mean to. Everyone had that moment of speaking when they were angry and regretted the speech they made afterwards. It can happen within ourselves and our parents, siblings, friends and lovers. We might expect people to handle us at our worst, but have you ever thought that we might be the only one left to hold ourselves that are full of emotion? At times, we blame other people too much to the point that we can't see the truth anymore. Be wise, reflect on ourselves, and learn to let go.

The mouth can speak both of life and death, love and hate, curse and blessing.

Words That Can't Be Trusted

DSC_5805
I used to live as a people-pleaser. It is difficult for me to say no when somebody asked for a help. But I started to realize that it was unhealthy.

Even though I believe in Karma, I don't think it works that way. You reap what you sow only applies if all of the parties involved are HAPPY.

When you help someone but you feel uneasy or it feels like you are being forced, then it just doesn't work. You can't stop thinking about when will things end - when it will never end unless you realize that you are not spreading love, but hatred. Hatred is what you sow, and you will not get anything back.

The first time they ask for help, they feel grateful. For the second time, they feel happy. The third time, they feel okay. And for the next consecutive time, they have considered it as a habit. They think they have the power to make things feel the same. And from that time onwards, whenever they say thank you, it is not a form of appreciation and gratefulness; it is simply a routine.

Learn to say no when you can't deal with the hardship. People who love you for who you are and truly want you to be around them are those who don't take benefit of what you have, but they are those people who think what they can give for you.

And they are truly the best kind of people who make you sincerely happy.

Two Moons

DSC_1726
I just don't get it. Is it that enjoyable to mock someone? So as I mentioned on my previous post, the upcoming presidential election in my country Indonesia is coming in a couple of weeks. And of course, at this rate, the two candidates Prabowo Subianto-Hatta Rajasa & Jokowi Dodo-Jusuf Kalla are campaigning to win. Nothing is wrong with that, completely nothing.

BUT THOUGH some fanatic ass supporters are really being a douchebag that makes me want to puke my ass off. Why? Search hashtag #DebatCapres on Twitter and you will see why. Dude seriously, who are you to comment so harshly? What is wrong with them to have a lot of aims for this country? Indeed this country needs a lot of system changes, is your stupidity level too high to not see that? And why do you comment on someone's public speaking? I dare you to speak in front of the expatriates, basically watched by the whole Indonesia - will you be able to speak better than them? Hahaha. Plus why are you people so sensitive when they say money is needed? Besides a clear system, money is of course needed to build a better country! To get money to the country will require an investment capital of course.

This matter is crucial because there are too much of black campaigns going on and the exchange rate has INCREASED, the value of Rupiah has gone down. USD equals to IDR 12.048 up to now - that is just crazy if you understand why it is important. Just how low do you want the economy to go down?

Bottom line is, if you have already decided between number 1 or 2, it doesn't mean that the world needs to know okay - especially if you did that by bringing down the opposite candidate. That is not Bhinneka Tunggal Ika, hey.

Him in My Vague Memory

2014-05-05 12.18.48
In everyone's life, there is always a dream to pursue. And between the dream and where yourself stand, there is a distance that no living creature can measure. Somewhere belong the road, we find a seemingly endless difficulty, something else begins when the other stops. Though, we can't lie that behind every hardship, something God-given is always there.

But, what if that God-given isn't meant to stay forever? What if that God-given requires you to make a decision? What if that God-given is indirectly telling you to stop, because it is everything you possibly need?

All that glitters is not gold. Not everything that shines can bring you the biggest diamond. It gives you happiness, but not in a form of the biggest outcome. Life is an opportunity cost, it is packed of multiple choices; to have A you can't get B, and vice versa.

There are many doors that I can't enter, and one of them is yours.

A Little Love Never Hurt

DSC_1397
Jakarta, the capital city of Indonesia. The citizen understands well that there are a lot of diversities among the people here. Behind those skyscraper buildings and people who shop as if tomorrow never comes, there are still a lot of people who needs shelter, a lot of people whose rights have been taken away, a lot of talents that are not recognized because of discrimination, and the list never ends. It looks simple, but has it come to your mind that it might be one of the reasons why Indonesia is still a developing country? Do you expect a better Jakarta, or exactly, Indonesia? I do.

Truthfully saying, during the legislative election a few weeks ago, I did not use my right to vote; I had also decided not to vote either during the presidential election. Though recently, some news have weakened my knees and I realized that my inner heart has been expecting a huge change all along. Thus on the upcoming 9th July 2014, I have made up my mind to vote. For a brighter Indonesia amen.

Dear fellow Indonesians, if it is not us, then who else? If it is not now, then when?

First Love and Blue Sky

DSC_0789
When we were a kid, we used to say, "I want to marry a Prince who carries a white horse and lives in a castle." But when the reality starts to kick in as we get older, we realize we don't need all that. In fact, from the very first time, we never need that. It was just Disney and all its movies that stereotype every man to have to look that way.

In reality, we fall for those who love us sincerely. No matter how do they look like and where do they come from, we fall anyway.

Happiness in The Wind

DSC_0690
When someone says that money can't buy happiness, it is probably the most appropriate phrase ever. It is true that money can buy almost everything, but that almost, is most of the time, just a temporary happiness. Other than that, is time, love, family, and friendship that you can never get back. You can never buy the feeling that revolves around them. You can't bring the deceased to life, you can't change someone's heart, you can't remove someone's memory, and you can never turn back time.

It has always been better to lay in the arms of someone you love rather than to hold a bunch of shopping bags.

Scent of A Woman

DSC_0180
Life doesn't always go as what you planned or as what you thought. In every stage of life, you need to surpass a seemingly endless obstacle. Be it in friends, love life, work, or family.

People you enjoy hanging out with talks behind your back, people you can't live without can live without you, what you enjoy doing doesn't always give you benefit, people you wholeheartedly trust betray you, and the list goes on.

It makes life seems difficult, doesn't it? But, believe me, keep doing and planting good deeds because there is 1 person who puts all His belief on you, who sticks with you throughout the whole process, and He is God.

No matter what religion you carry, I believe you deserve love. I believe you will receive more when you started giving.

You guys might have known that I'm a massive fan of nail-art. For those who asked, I never did them by myself because I can't really draw properly.

A week ago, De Fleur Nail Art contacted me that she would do my nails. Without further ado, I definitely said yes! Starting from IDR 40.000, they serve by appointment or they can also create fake nails. Check out De Fleur Nail Art for more beautiful creation!
